LAST DAY OF STEAM ON SLEZSKE ZEMSKE DRAHY FOR THIS SUMMER.

August 28, 2011. I do not know where the summer has gone but August 28, 2011 was the last public day of steam for this season and everyone turned up for it. It was a perfect day and we got fabulous photos.

DOURO VALLEY STEAM RAILWAY IN PORTUGAL.

August 18, 2011. We have just visited the Douro Valley steam railway in Portugal which is one of the most beautiful in the world. The article is being prepared and again we apologise for the delay, again due to the consequences of the bombing of our offices, but it will arrive. It is worth waiting for.

FOUR AUSTRIAN STEAM RAILWAYS.

August 8, 2011. A week ago we visited five Austrian steam railways:
(a) Achenseebahn
(b) Murtalbahn
(c) Schafbergbahn
(d) Taurachbahn
(e) Zillertalbahn

We are currently preparing the articles complete with photos and hope to have them in within a few days. Unfortunately the bombing at the museum has delayed everything. Look at the bus museum section and you will see the €250,000 damage. Its a tragedy. Anyhow there are some good photos and we were fortunate enough to take a steam train from Mauterndorf to Frojach which very rarely has a through steam train.

TRACK DAY ON SLEZSKE ZEMSKE DRAHY

June 25, 2011. We had a fabulous day with SZD on Ceske Drahy. We had both steam engines in service U57.001 and U 46.002. Go to Czech Railways on menu for pictures!
